ZOI Education COVID-19 Update: 21 July 2021

Important information for Current Students

Due to the announcement by the Victorian Government of an extension to the COVID-19 Lockdown, there will be no face-to-face classes at ZOI Education up to and including Tuesday 27 July.Please take note of the following important information regarding Work Placement and Online Study:

  • ZOI’s campus is closed up to and including Tuesday 27th July (unless government COVID-19 advice changes – we will keep you informed).
  • Do not come to campus between now and Tuesday 27th See below for information regarding instructions for your particular Intake.
  • We will keep you informed about any further changes. Make sure you check your junk email folder!
  • If you would like to submit your assessment booklet, please send a digital copy to your trainer for marking, and submit your hard copies when lockdown is over and the campus has reopened.

For Intake 13:

DO NOT attend Work Placement during the lockdown. There will be no Work Placement at your Early Learning Centre from Friday 16 July up to and including Tuesday 27 July.

  • Please do not go to your Early Learning Centre, as they will be unable to accept you.
  • Please be assured that you will be able to make up your Work Placement hours later in the term.
  • You will still be able to finish on time.
  • You will receive more information by email. Make sure you check your junk email folder for important information.

For Intakes 9 & 11:

  • Your classes will continue online via Zoom from 9.00 AM on Wednesday 21 July.
  • You must attend your online Zoom classes on:
    • Wed 21 July at 9.00 AM
    • Mon 26 July at 9.00 AM
    • Tues 27 July at 9.00 AM
  • Do not come to campus up to and including Tuesday 27 July, as the campus is closed.
  • Your trainer, Judy, will email you a Zoom link to attend online classes. Judy’s contact email is judy@zoi.vic.edu.au
  • You will receive more information by email. Make sure you check your junk email folder for important information.

For Intakes 10 & 12:

  • You have online classes via Zoom this week. You must attend your online Zoom classes on:
    • Wed 21 July at 1.00 PM
    • Thurs 22 July at 9.00 AM
    • Fri 23 July at 9.00 AM
  • Do not come to campus up to and including Tuesday 27 July, as the campus is closed.

  • Your first aid training that was scheduled for 26 July has been postponed to 28 July, subject to restrictions being lifted on time. (We will send you a sperate email in regard to this matter).

In the first year of this 2 year stand alone course you will learn to nurture children’s development by enhancing social, emotional, cognitive, creative, language and physical skills for independence, peer interaction and school readiness.

You will learn to analyse and interpret children’s play, and thus be able to enhance their learning opportunities and developmental progression. You will also discover the value of documentation as a design process creating collaborative discussion for continued learning.

ZOI’s Diploma program is designed for students to obtain their Certificate III qualification, in addition to their diploma qualification.
