Learner characteristics and target group

The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is aimed at international students who want to become an early childhood carer and educator as part of a specialist team professional of childcare workers.

ZOI Education believes students should be interested in working with babies, toddlers, children, and their families to ensure the child’s time in childcare is safe, and the foundation of their education is effective and well supported.

Students may be school leavers commencing their careers, career changers, return to workers, or anyone later in their work-life cycle who want to impact the lives of children in a childcare environment.

Students must be prepared and willing to work with children and their families equally and must have sufficient LLN skills needed to undertake this course.

Students studying towards the Certificate III will be required to work within a group as well as individually.

When on placement the student must be able to work within a team and autonomously with the ability to show initiative under the supervision of a room leader.

ZOI Education endeavours to attract a balanced mix of international students from all over the world, however this is subject to applications received from education agents prior to each intake.

ZOI’s current list of education agents predominantly refer students from Asia/Pacific, Europe, and South America.
