Visa Requirements - Childcare Training Courses

STUDENT VISA (SUBCLASS 500)

The Student VISA (Subclass 500) allows you to stay in Australia to study full-time in a recognised education institution for up to 5 years.  Cost of this visa starts from AU$560.  To be eligible you must:

  • be at least six years of age
  • have been accepted to study at an educational institution in Australia
  • have health insurance

  • Foreign Affairs or Defence Sector: 75 per cent of applications processed in 15 days
  • Postgraduate Research Sector: 75 per cent of applications processed in 49 days
  • Non-Award Sector: 75 per cent of applications processed in 4 days
  • Schools Sector: 75 per cent of applications processed in 32 days
  • Independent ELICOS Sector: 75 per cent of applications processed in 24 days
  • Vocational Education and Training Sector: 75 per cent of applications processed in 49 days
  • Higher Education Sector: 75 per cent of applications processed in 29 days
