A Message From Our Principal Executive Officer

As we all face this unprecedented situation in dealing with the global pandemic, today I reach out to update you on the changes we have implemented to continue to deliver our premium learning experience for our students.

We appreciate that It has been a challenging time for all VET and ELICOS providers. ZOI Education has responded to this challenge by delivering our content online with our engaged trainers to ensure our students receive the best learning experience.

Our immediate response to COVID-19 was to adjust with Distance Learning for our entire student cohort. Students were provided with training in how to use and engage in Distance Learning. All Staff were promptly equipped with the necessary resources to allow them to provide our students with tailored assistance to complete course content.

We modified our enrolment and orientation processes, so that our brand-new intake of students could enrol and begin studying with us. I personally delivered their textbooks to their homes to ensure they had the necessary resources required and were not disadvantaged in any way by not being able to access the school in the short term.

To administer distance Learning, we ensured that we have the right quality control measures in place, so we do not compromise the integrity of the Training Package outcomes.

A mandatory requirement of our course is minimum hours of Work Placement. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Early Learning centres are not currently taking students for work placements. For this reason, we restructured our delivery of the course content, giving theoretical components and training first, including simulating assessments, until work placement can occur again.

We worked closely with each individual student and assessed their needs in order to provide additional support as and where needed.

In addition, we have developed a payment plan option for student fees and allowed students to choose to pay in fortnightly or monthly instalments. Further, in Term 3 and Term 4 of 2020 we provided a discount to student fees, automatically reducing their payment amounts.

For our new and enrolling students, we have been able to develop a special price and payment plans for those willing to join us in July and October 2020.

Regularly we keep in contact with our current student cohort, corresponding with them consistently during the past weeks and now months. We have updated our students with information regarding access to food vouchers, access to Superannuation and also the Victorian Government’s Support package for International Students.

We are continually looking to improve the way we do things. A great example is the new streamlined Agent Agreement forms, that are more concise with clearer wording. We will constantly review these agreements for our important partners.

In time, this crisis will pass, and I am sure that we will all be better and stronger for having gone through it together. We as a team are committed to meeting whatever challenges this pandemic brings us. We do this with our students, our staff and our partners at the forefront of our minds.

Stay safe. Stay well.
